Jackie and Tom
Jackie is a retired mathematics teacher and a native of Rochester, New York. She grew up in the suburb of Irondequoit just north of the city near the shoreline of Lake Ontario. After graduating from West Irondequoit high school, Jackie attended the State University of New York at Oswego where she earned her undergraduate degree in math and her teaching credentials. Later she earned a masters degree in Statistics from the Rochester Institute of Technology. Her career included teaching math at the middle school and high school grade levels.
Tom is a retired engineer and originally from Binghamton, New York. He moved to Rochester in 1966 to attend school at the Rochester Institute of Technology where he earned a Bachelor's of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. Tom's career at Xerox Corporation lasted from 1971 to 2002 for a total of 31 years. He started as an entry level design engineer and finished as the chief engineer responsible for all product development within one of Xerox's departments. In 1981 Tom earned a Master's of Business Administration degree at the University of Rochester.
Jackie and Tom have two children. Jaimie resides in Colorado Springs, Colorado with her husband Mario. Tom Jr. is a golf professional residing in Royal Palm Beach, Florida.
Jackie and Tom sold their home in Rochester in early 2002 and began traveling full time in their motor home. They traveled throughout the United States during 2002 and 2003 with their black lab, Pepper and cat, Louie.
In January, 2004 they bought a house in Wellington, Florida and now divide their time between Florida and the family cottage in Redwood, New York. They travel spring and fall months, in their Trek motor home with their lab, Pepper and cat, Rocky.
